What is the difference between a landscape/horizontal and portrait/vertical wall bed?
In a portrait/vertical wall bed, the bed attaches to the wall at the head of the bed. This means when opened, the bed extends into the room farther, and that it requires more height when closed. (An 8 foot ceiling should suffice). A horizontal/landscape bed attaches to the wall along one side, and therefore requires less height when closed and doesn’t extend into the room as far when opened.
Do Murphy beds attach to the floor or the wall?
Xtraroom Murphy beds attach to the wall. It is not necessary to attach them to the floor as well.
Are your Murphy beds safe?
Yes! unlike other Murphy beds that only use 2 gas pistons, our beds use 4 pistons to provide more redundancy. If a piston ever fails, you’ll still be able to lift he bed. Moreover, our dual action pistons will stop when the bed is 30 degrees from being opened/closed. This means no falling or slamming beds.
Are your wall beds easy to raise and lower?
All of our beds feature 4 pistons to help raise and lower the bed making the transition easy, smooth and very safe!
What kind of mattress can I use on your Murphy beds?
The beauty of our Murphy beds is that they can accommodate most mattresses up to 12 inches thick. However, we do not recommend the use of pillow top mattresses with our Murphy beds.
What Material is used in your Murphy beds?
The engine and mattress frame are steel, for added strength and stability. The panels are made from a combination of engineered wood and veneers with solid wood moldings and accents. We never use melamine.
What weight do the mechanisms support?
All of our beds are designed to hold 800 lbs.
Do you offer installation services?
No, unfortunately we do not. However if you contact our service team, we should be able to direct you to help if needed.
Shipping, Returns, and Warranty FAQs
Do you ship overseas?
Not at the moment. We currently ship within the continental United States. However, we are looking to expand our shipping area soon so check back in with us.
How are your beds shipped?
All of our products are shipped with Threshold Delivery; Our delivery team will unload your products and carry them inside, placing them into the garage or front entry or the first dry interior area available.
The Delivery Team does not unpack, remove packing materials nor provide any assembly assistance. Also they can not climb any flights of stairs, outside of a couple of steps to the front door.
What is the delivery time?
Our warehouse is located in Phoenix Arizona, and your bed will ship on the Friday following your order. Deliveries can take from 3-5 weeks depending on your location. You will receive a tracking link at the time of shipping with an estimated delivery.
What is the delivery process?
Once your in-stock order has been completed, your products will leave our facility on the first following Friday. Once it leaves our dock, the delivery should take approximately 2-5 weeks.
Deliveries are normally made between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. You will receive an email once your products leave our facility. The email will include shipment tracking information, including the expected delivery date. 24 to 48 hours prior to the delivery, our shipping partner will call you to schedule a 4 hour delivery window.
In order to provide you with the best service, all of our deliveries require a set appointment time.
What is your return policy?

Your satisfaction with your purchase is important to us! If your product was damaged in transit, has missing parts, or if we accidentally sent the wrong item, we take full responsibility. If any of these things occur, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of receiving your product at I-Need-Parts.com, and we’ll be happy to take care of the issue free of charge.

Returns
We want you to be pleased with your purchase. If you aren’t quite satisfied with your product, you have up to 30 days from the delivery date to initiate a return on all eligle products.
Items eligible for return must be in their original condition and packaging.

What is the warranty?
Your Murphy bed has a 5 year warranty against manufacturing defects.
What happens if I recieved a damaged part?
