Quad Piston Engine
Unlike other Murphy bed designs that use only 2 pistons (1 on each side) or springs to help support the bed, Leto Muro’s wall beds use 4 pistons (2 per side) to maximize the ease of operation and the safety. In addition, each piston is designed with 2-stages that provide maximum lift when you need it but prevent the bed from slamming shut.
A couple of years ago we downsized our residence to a two bedroom home. I was using the guest bedroom as a den and we tried using a trundle bed and then a futon for visiting company. Neither one was satisfactory. The Coventry Full Murphy Bed with Desk and Two Side Towers allowed us to remove the desk, bookcase, and futon. A great solution. Two of our sons were able to unpack and completely assemble the furniture without difficulty.
This unit is well made, very solid and a nice piece of furniture! Takes a few hours to put together but everything is well labeled along with all of the pieces to put it together. Highly recommend this for an office or spare bedroom!
I love that it takes a regular mattress (so much more comfortable than the pull out couch). The desk is a good size for me, and when closed, the "office" still looks like an office and not like I'm sitting in a bedroom on zoom calls. Great solution!
We are in love with our Murphy bed!! It works perfectly in our small 10 X 10 guest room. We hired someone to install it so cannot speak as to that. We got a plush 12 inch mattress that fits beautifully.
It went together easily, product looks and works as indicated. The desk part is wide enough and sturdy enough for my sewing machine. I love that I can do office work and craft in this room now, which was dominated by the bed before. I can do yoga and then easily transform the room to a guest room. I love it!
As an Empty Nester we had a room available that needed to be redone to a Guest Room. This alegra was a perfect idea. We purchased the white queen.I am not a handy man but I was going to conquer it.
