What's the difference between a RoomBed and a Murphy Bed?
While you can use a Murphy bed every night, a Murphy bed is perfect for rooms that only need to be a bedroom some of the time, but whose primary function is for something else. I.e. den, home office, home gym, playroom, etc. A RoomBed is ideal for a room whose primary function is a bedroom, but you still want access to the floor space for those other activities.
Do you have to attach a RoomBed to the wall like a Murphy Bed?
Yes. The RoomBed has a multi-point attachment system that secures it to the wall.
Is it difficult to lift a RoomBed?
No. RoomBeds have a dual-stage piston lifting system that carry the weight of the load making it easy to lift the bed to the upright position.
Can I leave the bedding on the RoomBed when it is up?
Yes! You will need to secure the pillows to the end of the bed with the provided strap, but your bedding can stay in place when you lift the bed.
What is the clearance under the bed?
RoomBed have 12 inches of under bed clearance allowing you to keep items in place under the bed for easy access.
Can I get the whiteboard with any size of the bed?
Not at the moment. For now, the whiteboards are only an option for queen size beds.
Do all RoomBeds have the power and USB outlets in the headboard?
No. The Oxford series does not come with the built-in outlet in the headboard.
