Common questions
Yes. The Aegis with Desk and Integrated Storage has both closed and open storage with adjustable shelves.
For the cabinet to sit flush against the wall, you will need to remove the moldings behind the bed. However, if you prefer not to remove the moldings (and they are 0.5 inches thick or less), a spacer is included with the Aegis series of beds, allowing you to keep the moldings. The bed will sit slightly away from the wall, but it will still be securely attached to the wall.
Yes. Xtraroom Murphy beds require six attachment points to the wall, and 3 of the 6 must be into wall studs. This is required for the bed to be installed safely.
You can leave sheets and light blankets on Xtraroom Murphy beds. However, you must remove pillows, heavy blankets, and duvets before closing the cabinet.
We do not recommend mounting TVs or monitors above the desk. The beds are not engineered to support the extra weight of a monitor on the front panels.
The desk on the Aegis models is 60.81"W x 20.69"D
